Transportation in Zhuhai

Zhuhai's transport mix is built around the light rail and an extensive bus grid. The Zhuhai Tram Line 1 runs from Haitianyizhan to Shangchong, giving you a cheap, elevated ride through the newer districts; it's the easiest way to sight-see without traffic. Buses blanket the city, look for the green "珠海公交" logo, accept cash or the Lingnan Pass stored-value card (sold at tram stations and 7-Eleven). Taxis and ride-hailing apps are everywhere; they're a splurge compared with the tram but handy after midnight when the tram stops. From Zhuhai Jinwan Airport, the airport express bus is the default: it meets every arriving flight and drops at downtown hotels in about an hour for a fraction of a taxi fare. If you're in a rush, the official taxi rank is on the curb, insist on the meter and ignore the unlicensed touts inside the terminal. Skip the idea of a tram transfer. The airport is too far south and the tram doesn't reach it.
